Teaching Assistant - Secondary School
Location: Outskirts of Kettering, Northamptonshire
Start Date: ASAP / Flexible
Contract: Full-time / Long-term (with potential for permanent)
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a confident, proactive Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school on the outskirts of Kettering. This role would suit someone who is hands-on, adaptable, and able to make an immediate impact from day one.

The Role:

  • Providing in-class support across KS3 and KS4

  • Working confidently with individuals and small groups to support learning

  • Supporting behaviour management and maintaining focus in lessons

  • Assisting teaching staff with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

  • Offering targeted support to students with SEN or SEMH needs where required

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has previous experience working with secondary-aged students and can hit the ground running

  • Is hands-on, proactive, and confident managing classroom situations

  • Builds positive relationships quickly with both students and staff

  • Has strong communication skills and a calm, consistent approach

  • Holds a valid DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)

  • Is able to reliably travel to the outskirts of Kettering
