English Teacher - Secondary School - Wigan
Immediate Start | Long-Term Supply | Up to £232.56 per day
Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a high-performing secondary school in the Wigan area to recruit a dedicated and passionate English Teacher for a long-term supply role starting immediately.
This exciting opportunity is expected to continue until at least February half-term, with a strong potential for extension for the right candidate.
The Role - English Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging and high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teaching Language and Literature in line with the national curriculum
- Planning, marking and assessing student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Managing behaviour effectively and promoting high standards of learning
- Supporting students to develop strong literacy, communication and analytical skills
This role is suitable for experienced teachers and confident ECTs seeking a long-term supply position.

Requirements
To be considered for this English Teacher role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
- Strong subject knowledge at KS3 and KS4
- Effective classroom management skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
