Science Technician (Secondary School)

Play a key role behind the scenes of outstanding science education.

We are working with a secondary school in Ealing to appoint a reliable and practical Science Technician to support the delivery of engaging science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Your Contribution

As a Science Technician, you will ensure laboratories are fully prepared, safe, and well organised, enabling teachers to deliver high-quality practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Main Duties

  • Preparing equipment, materials, and experiments in advance of lessons
  • Supporting practical science teaching across all disciplines
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and organised laboratory environments
  • Managing stock, chemicals, and specialist equipment
  • Conducting routine safety checks and basic maintenance
  • Following all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures
  • Providing technical assistance to teaching staff when required

  • A science-related qualification or relevant experience
  • Strong organisational and practical skills
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Hours

  • Full-time
  • Monday to Friday, school hours
