Year 2 Teacher - Maternity Cover

A friendly and welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Camden/Hampstead is seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to cover a maternity leave. The position starts after February Half Term and runs until July 2026.

The role:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to Year 2 pupils, maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment, and ensuring continuity of learning during the maternity cover period.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the school curriculum

• Manage a full Year 2 class, maintaining high standards of behaviour

• Track and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

• Engage with parents and carers as required

Requirements:

• Experience teaching Year 2

• Confident, proactive, and able to step in and make an immediate impact

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

• Passionate about teaching and developing pupils' learning
