Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Stockport)

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming Primary School in Stockport who are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This role will involve predominantly supporting a child with challenging behaviour, working on a 1:1 basis to help them engage positively with learning and school life. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing consistency, structure and emotional support throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND, particularly those with challenging behaviour

  • Be patient, calm and firm, with a consistent approach to behaviour management

  • Be willing to build a strong, trusting rapport with the child

  • Be proactive, resilient and able to work closely with class teachers and SEN staff
