Year 5 Teacher | Blackpool Academy | Full-Time (Mon-Fri) | KS2 Interventions & Cover | QTS Required

Seeking a Year 5 Teacher for a Blackpool Primary Academy. Full-time role (32.5 hrs/wk) providing morning cover (Maths/English) and afternoon interventions. Must hold QTS. Join an inclusive, high-expectation school focusing on "brave learning" and pupil impact. Long-term temporary contract with extensions available.

Location: Blackpool

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 (Full-Time)

Contract: Temporary, Term Time (Impact-led extension)

Requirements: Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

We are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our fully inclusive Academy in Blackpool. This role is designed for a practitioner who thrives on variety balancing high-level classroom delivery with targeted, small-group support.

The Role

This is a hybrid teaching role designed to maximise pupil progress through the crucial Year 5 curriculum:

  • Mornings: Delivering high-quality cover for core subjects, specifically Maths and English, ensuring continuity and high standards.
  • Afternoons: Leading targeted interventions, working with small groups to close attainment gaps and boost confidence ahead of their transition to Year 6.
  • Measure of Success: Impact. We are looking for a teacher whose success is visible in the progress and "brave learning" of their students.

Key Requirements

  • Qualification: You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience: Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly Year 5 Maths and English.
  • Mindset: An inclusive approach, a disciplined classroom management style, and the ability to foster "understanding, kindness, and respect" in all interactions.
  • Availability: Full-time commitment (Monday - Friday) is essential to provide the stability our pupils need.
