We are working in partnership with a number of well-regarded secondary schools across Northampton who are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teachers to join their teams from February 2026. These full-time roles are suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers, with long-term and permanent opportunities available in supportive, forward-thinking schools.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 opportunities available in some schools

  • Teach your specialist subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) in line with the national curriculum

  • Encourage curiosity, analytical thinking, and a love of science through practical and theory-based learning

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of all abilities

  • Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

  • Contribute to the development of a dynamic and inclusive Science curriculum

  • Support or lead extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, and enrichment programmes

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching Science

  • A creative, adaptable, and engaging teaching style

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A genuine passion for STEM education and raising student achievement

  • A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to department life

  • An openness to new challenges, whether you're an ECT or an experienced teacher
