Maths Supply Teacher - Long-Term Pupil Referral Unit Role

Ongoing temporary supply (long-term)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Pupil Referral Service (PRS) in Rochdale to recruit a Maths Supply Teacher for a long-term temporary role, covering an extended absence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a maths specialist who enjoys smaller class sizes, purposeful teaching, and making a real impact with KS3-KS4 learners in an alternative provision setting.

The Role

  • Teach Maths across KS3-KS4, including GCSE and Functional Skills
  • Focus on core numeracy and practical, real-life maths (budgeting, finance, independence skills)
  • Work with small groups in a supportive, relationship-focused environment
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs and disrupted education backgrounds

You'll Need

  • QTS or QTLS
  • Recent experience teaching Maths to pupils aged 10-16
  • Confidence delivering GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills
  • Strong classroom management and a consistent, calm approach
  • Experience in PRS, PRU or SEMH settings is desirable but not essential
