Science Teacher - Long-Term Supply Opportunity in Wigan

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Wigan on a long-term supply basis from after Easter until the end of the academic year in July.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Science Teacher (QTS) or experienced unqualified teacher to work in a supportive, high-performing school environment teaching KS3 and KS4 Science.

The Role - Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4)

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Teach engaging and differentiated Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Deliver Biology, Chemistry, and Physics content in line with the national curriculum
  • Plan, assess, and monitor student progress
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and learning
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive Science department

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Science Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Can teach across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE experience desirable)
  • Is confident with classroom management and engaging learners
  • Is passionate, reliable, and committed to raising attainment
