HLTA / Cover Supervisor - Full-Time


Hayes | 2-Form Entry Primary School | Long-Term | Start After Half Term

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-established, 2-form entry primary school in Hayes seeking a confident and experienced HLTA or Unqualified Teacher to provide full-time cover across the school from after half term. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who thrives in the classroom and can step in to deliver high-quality lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

This is not a general TA role - the school requires someone with proven experience leading whole classes and maintaining strong behaviour management.

The Role

You will:

  • Provide whole-class cover across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 (depending on need)
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and occasionally adapt planning where required
  • Maintain classroom routines and expectations
  • Ensure pupils remain on task and engaged
  • Provide feedback to teachers and senior leaders
  • Support learning across a range of abilities

The role is full-time and long-term, offering consistency and the chance to become an integral part of the school team.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Has substantial experience as an HLTA, Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher
  • Has previously led whole classes in UK primary schools
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is confident covering across different year groups
  • Is reliable, professional and adaptable
  • Can commit full-time on a long-term basis

This position would suit an experienced HLTA looking for greater responsibility, or an aspiring teacher who has already gained strong classroom leadership experience.
