SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and ambitious secondary school in Newham.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

  • Work closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to implement personalised learning plans

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom

  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

  • Monitor and record student progress

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with young people with SEN (school-based experience preferred)

  • Be patient, resilient, and nurturing

  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
