Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a welcoming trust of schools in the Chesterfield area. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a variety of school settings while enjoying the flexibility that supply work offers.

Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to build further classroom experience, we are keen to speak with you.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Work with small groups or provide 1:1 support to pupils

  • Assist students with additional needs, including SEND

  • Help maintain a positive and productive learning environment

  • Support classroom management in line with school behaviour policies

  • Adapt confidently to different schools within the trust

Assignments may range from day-to-day cover to longer-term placements, depending on your availability and preferences.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)

  • A flexible, proactive, and positive approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • The right to work in the UK
