The Opportunity: Help Us Build a New Primary AP
Are you ready to be a founding member of a brand-new school? We are opening a specialised Alternative Provision (AP) in West Bradford, Clitheroe, specifically for primary-aged children.
Starting on 1st June 2026, we are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join us during our pre-opening phase. You will work alongside our Lead Teacher to set up the classrooms, design the therapeutic environment, and prepare for our first cohort of pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Founding Team Support: Assist in the physical and operational setup of our new West Bradford site before pupils arrive.
EHCP Implementation: Support the delivery of bespoke learning plans for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
SEMH Specialist: Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, using a trauma-informed approach.
Nature-Based Learning: Help utilise our rural Clitheroe location to engage students in outdoor and active learning.
What We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from both Qualified (Level 2/3) and highly experienced Unqualified Teaching Assistants.
Experience: Previous work in a Primary school, SEN setting, or Alternative Provision is a significant advantage.
Character: Resilience, patience, and a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude-perfect for a newly opening school.
Communication: The ability to build instant rapport with "hard to reach" children and their families.
Location: Ideally based in or near Clitheroe, Whalley, or West Bradford.
Why Join Our New Provision?
Early Start: A 1st June 2026 start date gives you time to bond with the staff and understand the school's mission before the busy September term.
Shape the Culture: As a founding TA, your input on how we support our children will be valued from day one.
Professional Development: We are committed to staff growth and will provide specialised training in de-escalation and SEMH support.
A Unique Setting: Work in a beautiful, calm environment designed specifically for therapeutic education.
