Starting on 1st June 2026, you will have a unique three-month lead-in period to shape the secondary curriculum, establish behavior cultures, and recruit your supporting staff before our first cohort of KS3/KS4 students arrives. This is a rare opportunity to build a world-class, trauma-informed secondary environment in the Ribble Valley.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Curriculum Lead: Design and implement a bespoke secondary curriculum that balances academic progress (Functional Skills/GCSEs) with vocational and life skills.
QTS Leadership: Use your Qualified Teacher Status to mentor staff and ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning across the secondary phase.
SEMH Specialist: Develop a robust, therapeutic approach to behaviour management for students with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Launch Logistics: Work alongside the Headteacher during the June/July "set-up" phase to ensure the provision is fully operational and compliant for a September start.
What We Are Looking For

Experience: Proven track record of leadership (Head of Department, Lead Teacher, or Senior Lead) within a secondary or AP setting.
Resilience: An unwavering belief in the potential of students who have been excluded from mainstream education.
Vision: The ability to move from a "blank canvas" to a high-functioning educational environment in a few short months.
Why Join Our New Clitheroe Provision?
Founding Member Status: Be one of the "Originals"-your DNA will be in the walls of this school for years to come.
Strategic Autonomy: We trust your expertise. You will have the freedom to innovate away from the constraints of traditional secondary schooling.
Competitive Package: Leadership scale pay with significant opportunities for rapid career advancement as the provision grows.
Pre-Opening Window: Start on 1st June 2026 to ensure you are fully settled and prepared long before the first bell rings.
