SEN Primary Teacher (Reception) - Autism & Learning Needs
Southwark | Full-Time | Long-Term | M1-M6 | Start 13th April or Sooner
SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist SEN school in Southwark for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to lead a Reception class.
This is a full-time, long-term position starting 13th April or sooner, offering pay in line with M1-M6.
The Role
You will be teaching a small Reception class of pupils with Autism (ASC) and a range of additional learning needs. The school provides a nurturing, structured, and well-resourced environment, with a strong emphasis on communication, early development, and personalised learning.
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and a multidisciplinary team
- Use strategies such as visual supports, structured routines, and sensory approaches
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with Autism and/or complex learning needs
- Early Years or Reception experience is highly desirable
- Patient, resilient, and creative in approach
- Strong understanding of SEND best practice
