Unqualified Maths Teacher - Secondary School
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: ASAP or April 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term (Potential for Permanent Role)
Salary: £100-£160 per day (depending on experience and school support)

We are partnering with a number of supportive and inclusive secondary schools across Northampton who are looking to appoint enthusiastic Unqualified Maths Teachers for an ASAP or April 2026 start. This is an excellent opportunity for Maths graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with strong subject knowledge who are eager to step into the classroom and make an impact.
This role offers hands-on teaching experience with the support of experienced staff, making it ideal for those considering teacher training routes such as a PGCE, SCITT, or apprenticeship pathway.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
Build students' confidence, understanding, and enjoyment of Mathematics
Maintain a positive, focused, and inclusive classroom environment
Adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
Work closely with experienced teachers and department staff for guidance and development
Contribute to the wider school community and ongoing professional development
The Ideal Candidate:
A degree in Mathematics or a related subject (or strong subject knowledge)
Experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or school support roles desirable but not essential)
Strong communication and classroom presence
Organised, proactive, and confident in approach
A genuine passion for education and supporting student progress
Considering future teacher training pathways
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
