Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Full Time

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for four pupils within a welcoming and inclusive school environment.
About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with pupils who display challenging behaviours, including two students who are non-verbal. A key focus will be helping these pupils increase their engagement with school and supporting their transition from part-time to full-time timetables. Your support will play a vital role in developing their social, emotional and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support both inside and outside the classroom
Implement individualised behaviour management strategies
Support pupils' progress in core learning and communication skills
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and pastoral staff
Foster a safe, supportive and positive learning environment that encourages independence and confidence
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children with challenging behaviour and/or communication needs
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Patience, resilience and empathy when supporting young people
A confident communicator who works well as part of a team
