Class Teacher: Year 5 (KS2)

Contract: Long Term Role

Dates: To start as soon as possible until Summer 2026

Salary: £150.00 - £210.00 per day dependant on experience

The Opportunity

We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our school for two critical terms. This role is perfect for a teacher who enjoys seeing the "lightbulb moments" and wants to play a pivotal role in shaping a child's academic journey.

You will lead your Year 5 class through the Summer term-helping them celebrate their achievements and prepare for Year 6 .

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment & Achievement: Support current Year 5 pupils through their end-of-year assessments with a focus on a "low-stress, high-success" environment.

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver creative, high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum.

  • Transition Management: Lead a robust transition for the incoming Year 6s ensuring they feel secure, happy, and ready to learn after the summer break.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience is highly advantageous).

  • A nurturing approach with high expectations for pupil behaviour and progress.

  • The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit KS2 team.
