SEMH Teacher - Flexible Supply Opportunities

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting SEMH Teachers to work across a range of specialist schools, alternative provisions and inclusive settings supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This role is ideal for qualified teachers, but we are also keen to hear from experienced educators who have taught in schools, specialist provisions, PRUs or alternative education settings, even if they do not hold QTS.
These roles are offered on a flexible supply basis, giving you the opportunity to work in a variety of settings while building strong relationships with schools. Long-term opportunities can and do arise, and teachers who receive positive feedback are often considered for extended placements.
The Role
As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who may present with additional behavioural, emotional or learning needs. You will deliver engaging and supportive lessons while helping pupils build confidence, resilience and positive relationships with learning.
Responsibilities may include:
- Delivering engaging and accessible lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs
- Supporting students with SEMH needs to regulate behaviour and engage in learning
- Creating a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
- Using positive behaviour strategies and trauma-informed approaches
- Working collaboratively with support staff and wider school teams
- Encouraging pupil confidence, independence and personal development
We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS) or individuals with relevant teaching experience
- Experience working with SEMH, SEND, PRU or alternative provision settings
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- A passion for supporting vulnerable young people to succeed
