Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant (Full-Time)

Contract: Full-Time (5 Days per Week)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Croydon. The Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEN department to provide tailored support to students with additional needs. You will help facilitate access to the curriculum, encourage independence, and contribute to a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
Support students in developing academic confidence, organisation, and independent learning skills.
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents where appropriate.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SEN coordinators.
Requirements
Previous experience working as an SEN Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within a secondary school.
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to support students across the secondary curriculum.
A degree is preferred.
A good understanding of different SEN needs such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning differences.
Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and supportive approach to student development.
