Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Primary School, Harrow

Pay: £120 per day

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Start: ASAP

Are you looking for a new HLTA role in Harrow? SANZA Teaching is working with a brilliant primary school with an established, highly focused leadership team and a dynamic Headteacher. The role is available immediately, initially until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of continuing from September.

This position is ideal for HLTA's, Early Career Teachers (ECTs) wanting classroom experience, experienced Teaching Assistants, or retired teachers seeking a rewarding, reduced-responsibility role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching across EYFS, KS1, and KS2

  • Lead lessons and provide class cover

  • Deliver engaging learning activities

  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom

  • Adapt to different year groups and learning needs often at short notice

  • Working as a TA when not taking a class

Requirements:

  • HLTA status or extensive TA experience with ability to lead classes

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to pupil progress

  • Confident across all primary phases, including EYFS
