Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS)
Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Start Date: 13th April - Summer Term (until July)
Daily Rate: £97.50
A welcoming and community-focused two-form entry primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team for the summer term starting on 13th April.
This is a varied and rewarding opportunity within a supportive Early Years setting. The successful candidate will support pupils in Reception on Mondays and Fridays, and Nursery from Tuesday to Thursday, helping to create a nurturing and engaging environment where young children can develop confidence, independence and a love for learning.
The school has a collaborative and friendly Early Years team who work closely together to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive. While there is a high level of need within the setting, this role will primarily involve supporting the whole class alongside the class teacher, contributing to a positive and structured learning environment.
Please note: Candidates must hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (or above). This qualification is essential to support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum and ensure best practice within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Work closely with class teachers in both Nursery and Reception
Assist with engaging, play-based learning activities
Support children's social, emotional and developmental progress
Help with classroom preparation, observations and daily EYFS routines
Requirements
A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (or above) - essential
Experience working with children in an Early Years setting is desirable
A caring, proactive and positive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
