Core Subject Specialist Learning Support Assistant - Secondary Schools (Greenwich)
Full-Time | 5 Days per Week

We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Core Subject Specialist Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Greenwich. This is a full-time role working five days per week, supporting students in core subjects and helping them reach their full academic potential.

This position is ideal for individuals with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for supporting young people in their learning. You will work closely with teachers and students, providing targeted support in the classroom and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-class academic support to students in core subjects (such as English, Maths or Science)

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons

  • Support students who require additional guidance to access the curriculum

  • Help promote confidence, independence and progress among learners

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider support team

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant

  • Strong knowledge in at least one core subject

  • A degree in a relevant subject is preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive, patient and supportive approach to working with young people
