Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

Location: Outskirts of Kettering, Northamptonshire
Pay: £92 - £95 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start date: September 2026 (or earlier if available)

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting students in lessons across a range of subjects

  • Working with small groups and individual pupils, including those who need extra support

  • Helping teachers prepare resources and maintain a positive classroom environment

  • Encouraging students to stay engaged, confident, and motivated

  • Supporting behaviour in line with school expectations

  • Taking part in the wider life of the school when needed

We're looking for someone who

  • Enjoys working with young people

  • Is patient, reliable, and positive

  • Has good communication skills

  • Is willing to learn and develop professionally

  • Has GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)

Experience in a school is helpful, but not essential - the right attitude is more important.
