Looking to gain experience teaching across classes without planning pressures? An excellent opportunity presents for ECT's!
On behalf of our partner school in Stockport, we are recruiting an Early Career Teacher to work deliver various curriculum subjects to KS1 and KS2 classes for the summer term. This position is ideal for an Early Career Teacher who is looking to gain experience without the planning pressures and workload demands of having your own class. The role will commence 13th April and will pay £150-168 per day depending on your experience.
The school is a single-form entry Church school which educates a very diverse catchment with a higher than average % of EAL. Behaviour is good and children are happy and keen to learn. The school is well facilitated and classes also benefit from teaching assistants who support children on a 1-1 basis and/or take groups for intervention to drive progress.
The school are looking for:
- A confident ECT who has experience on placement teaching in KS1/KS2 classes
- Flexibility to teach from existing planning and an ability to scaffold/stretch where appropriate
- Someone who is an excellent team player and will communicate well with teaching assistants to work towards shared goals
- A teacher with a firm but fair approach which is nurturing and understanding
- Someone who will quickly build trusting, respectful relationships with the pupils and act as a strong role model for the children
- A teacher who is friendly, has a positive mindset and wants the best for all children
- Strong attendance
