1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time (Immediate Start)

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a committed and nurturing 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the BL2 area of Bolton. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible and running until the end of the academic year.

The role involves providing dedicated support to a pupil with additional educational needs, helping them to access learning and feel confident within the classroom environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference to a child's day-to-day school experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 support to meet the pupil's individual needs

  • Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning where required

  • Support the child's social, emotional, and academic development

  • Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs

  • Be patient, empathetic, and consistent in their approach

  • Have a good understanding of strategies to support additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, or speech and language)

  • Be proactive and able to adapt to the needs of the pupil

  • Work effectively as part of a team
