Teaching Assistant - Kettering Area

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a range of primary and secondary schools in the Kettering and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and gaining valuable experience in education.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons, help pupils with their learning, and contribute to a positive classroom environment. Roles may include working 1:1 with students, supporting small groups, or assisting the whole class.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting students in the classroom across a range of subjects

  • Working with pupils with additional learning needs (SEN experience desirable but not essential)

  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement

  • Providing feedback to teachers on student progress

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school, care, coaching, tutoring, youth work etc.)

  • A positive, patient and adaptable attitude

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to travel to schools in the Kettering area

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
