radewind Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Uxbridge to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs.
The school supports students with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD). It offers a nurturing, inclusive environment where every learner is encouraged to achieve their full potential through tailored, creative, and highly supportive teaching approaches.
The Role:
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Support students with complex communication, sensory, and physical needs
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff and therapists
Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to maximise outcomes
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with students with SLD, PMLD, and/or ASD (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)
A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting diverse learners
