Full-Time Secondary School Librarian - Lambeth (5 Days per Week)

The Role:
As a School Librarian, you will play a central role in managing and developing the school library, ensuring it remains an engaging and resourceful hub for students and staff alike. You will support learning across the curriculum, encourage independent reading, and help students develop strong research and information literacy skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day running of the school library
Maintain and develop a well-organised, accessible, and up-to-date library collection
Support students with research, reading, and independent learning
Promote reading for pleasure through events, displays, and initiatives
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery
Create a welcoming and inclusive library environment for all students
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Librarian, ideally within a school setting
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for literature and learning
A degree (preferred) in Library Studies, Information Management, or a related field
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to engage and inspire young people
