Science Technician - Full-Time (5 Days per Week)
Location: Lambeth, London | Secondary School Setting

The Role
As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and practical science lessons across Key Stages 3-5. Working closely with teaching staff, you will ensure that laboratories are well-prepared, safe, and fully equipped to facilitate high-quality learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons and experiments

  • Maintain and organise laboratory stock, chemicals, and resources

  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times

  • Provide technical support to teaching staff during lessons where required

  • Assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the science department

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge across one or more science disciplines

  • A degree in a science-related field is highly desirable

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • A proactive and flexible approach to work

  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a laboratory environment
