Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools in the Kettering area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and are considering a future career in education.

We are working with a number of welcoming and supportive schools who require classroom support staff on both a short-term and long-term basis.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to support students in lessons, provide small-group interventions, and help create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting students in the classroom across a range of subjects

  • Working with small groups or individual pupils

  • Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation

  • Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment

  • Supporting students with additional needs where required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience working with young people (school, tutoring, coaching, youth work, etc.)

  • Is patient, reliable, and professional

  • Has strong communication skills

  • Is interested in education or teaching as a career

  • Holds a degree or relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
