Level 2 Teaching Assistant - SEND (Daventry)

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive school setting in Daventry, supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs.
In this role, you will support students with MLD, SLD and PMLD, working both 1:1 and with small groups to ensure they are able to engage with learning and feel supported throughout the school day. You will play a key role in adapting activities, encouraging participation, and helping pupils to develop both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will have strong SEND experience and be confident in working with a variety of communication methods to meet individual needs. A good understanding of EHCPs and IEPs is essential, as you will be expected to follow and contribute to personalised support strategies.
This is a role for someone who is calm under pressure, flexible in their approach, and able to build positive, professional relationships with both pupils and staff. You should be confident in managing challenges and thinking on your feet to provide the best possible support.
You will be joining a close and supportive team, where collaboration is key and staff are committed to achieving the best outcomes for every student.
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong background in SEND support
- Experience supporting MLD, SLD and PMLD
- Confident working with EHCPs and IEPs
- Ability to adapt and use a range of communication techniques
- A positive, patient, and resilient attitude
