SEN Teaching Assistant - SEN Hub
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Hours: 8:45am - 3:30pm
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our SEN Hub, providing support to children with a range of special educational needs. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about making a difference in pupils' learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with special educational needs in the SEN Hub
- Deliver 1:1 or small group support as directed by the SENCo
- Assist with implementing personalised learning plans and interventions
- Support emotional regulation, social skills, and behaviour management
- Work closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive and engaging environment
- Monitor and record pupil progress
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN (preferred)
- Understanding of strategies to support SEND pupils
- Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of EYFS/KS1/KS2 curriculum (desirable, depending on school)
