SEN Teaching Assistant - SEN Hub

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Hours: 8:45am - 3:30pm

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our SEN Hub, providing support to children with a range of special educational needs. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about making a difference in pupils' learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with special educational needs in the SEN Hub
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group support as directed by the SENCo
  • Assist with implementing personalised learning plans and interventions
  • Support emotional regulation, social skills, and behaviour management
  • Work closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive and engaging environment
  • Monitor and record pupil progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (preferred)
  • Understanding of strategies to support SEND pupils
  • Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of EYFS/KS1/KS2 curriculum (desirable, depending on school)
