HR Officer - Secondary Schools (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)
Location: Lambeth, London

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer to join a welcoming and forward-thinking group of secondary schools across Lambeth. This is a full-time, five-days-per-week position, offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled HR professional to make a meaningful impact within the education sector.

The Role
As HR Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations across the schools. You will work closely with senior leadership teams to ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with best practice. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and leavers
  • Providing HR advice and guidance to staff and leadership teams
  • Supporting performance management, absence management, and employee relations matters
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, employment law, and school policies
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and systems
  • Assisting with policy development and implementation

About You

  • Proven experience working in an HR role is essential
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Previous experience within a school or educational setting is highly desirable
  • A degree in HR, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
