School Caretaker - Full-Time | Immediate Start Available
Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Salary: £26,000 - £31,200 per year (or £100-£120 per day, PAYE + pension)
Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + paid Christmas closure

This role is critical to the smooth running of the school, offering real ownership of the site while benefiting from flexible split shifts. For the right person, there is a clear pathway for this position to become a permanent role in the next academic year.
Please note: A driver is essential due to split shifts and occasional travel to our St Albans site.

What You'll Be Doing
- Opening the school site from 7:30am and securing it at the end of the day
- Taking responsibility for site safety, security, and overall upkeep
- Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Supporting health and safety checks and compliance
- Occasional travel to support the St Albans site
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Practical and hands-on with basic DIY or maintenance skills
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Friendly, professional, and a strong communicator
- Flexible with working hours (split shifts)
- Full driving licence preferred
