Specialist Advisory Teacher - SEMH Team

📄 Contract: Part-time (3 days per week), Long-term Supply

💷 Daily Rate: £258 - £288 (MPS6 - UPS3 Outer London, depending on experience)

SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to present a rewarding opportunity for a Specialist SEMH Advisory Teacher to join a dedicated borough-wide team supporting schools across Redbridge. This role is available immediately and will run on a long-term basis throughout the summer term.

This position is ideal for a knowledgeable and committed professional with a strong background in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), looking to make a wider impact beyond a single classroom.

About the Role

As an SEMH Advisory Teacher, you will partner with school leaders, SENCOs, and teaching teams across both primary and secondary settings, offering expert advice and practical strategies to support pupils with SEMH needs. Your work will directly influence inclusive practice and help improve outcomes for vulnerable learners.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver specialist SEMH guidance to schools across the borough

Demonstrate effective strategies and interventions within classroom environments

Support staff in developing strong behaviour management and inclusive approaches

Lead training sessions and professional development workshops

Contribute to assessment, planning, and review processes

Liaise with external agencies to ensure joined-up support for pupils

About You

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Extensive experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs

Proven ability to positively impact pupil outcomes

Confident working across a range of school settings

Strong interpersonal, coaching, and advisory skills

Able to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders
