SEN Teacher Opportunity - Specialist Schools in Nottingham

Salary: £160 - £220 per day (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of SEN schools across Nottingham to recruit passionate and committed SEN Teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and complex learning difficulties.

These are ad-hoc roles, with both long-term and temp-to-perm opportunities available, offering you the chance to find the right setting and secure a permanent position.

About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored and engaging lessons to small classes of pupils with additional needs. You will play a key role in creating a structured, supportive environment that promotes both academic progress and emotional development.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEN needs
Managing behaviour effectively using consistent and supportive strategies
Developing and implementing EHCP-led learning plans
Assessing progress and adapting teaching to support individual outcomes
Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals

About You
To be considered for this role, you must:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Have experience working with pupils with SEN (ASC, SEMH, or similar)
Be confident managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
Be adaptable, patient, and resilient in your approach
Have strong communication and organisational skills
Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
