Full-Time Core Subject Learning Support Assistant (Maths, English & Science)

Are you a knowledgeable and committed individual with a passion for supporting students in their academic journey? We are currently seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work across secondary schools in Southwark, providing targeted support in core subjects: Maths, English, and Science.

This is a five-day-per-week role within welcoming and well-established schools that are known for their supportive leadership, inclusive ethos, and strong focus on staff development.

The Role:

• Provide in-class and small group support across Maths, English, and Science lessons
• Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored academic support
• Support students of varying abilities, including those requiring additional help to access the curriculum
• Assist in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
• Contribute to student progress through structured interventions and one-to-one support where required

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational role is essential
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and Science
• A degree is preferred (particularly in a relevant subject area)
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff
• A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
