Site Assistant - Multi-Site School Environment - Kensington & Chelsea

A well-established multi-site Catholic academy trust is seeking to appoint a Site Assistant to support the effective operation, maintenance, and security of school sites in Kensington and Chelsea. This is a key role in ensuring safe, secure, and well-maintained learning environments for pupils across the area.

The Site Assistant will work as part of a dedicated Facilities Management Team supporting day-to-day site operations, compliance, and health and safety standards within Kensington and Chelsea.

Key Responsibilities:
* The Site Assistant will support the effective operation of school sites, ensuring buildings are safe, secure, and well maintained
* Carry out minor repairs, basic maintenance, and immediate cleaning tasks where required
* Assist with site security, including opening/closing buildings, alarm systems, and emergency procedures
* Monitor health and safety compliance, including fire safety equipment, exits, and site inspections
* Liaise with contractors, emergency services, and external providers as needed
* Support cleanliness, grounds maintenance, waste management, and general site upkeep
* Ensure safe access to sites and support lettings and external hirers
* Provide emergency and out-of-hours cover where required
* Assist with the supervision and welfare of pupils when needed, supporting behaviour and safeguarding standards

The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in facilities, maintenance, site management, or a similar environment
* Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and building compliance
* Practical skills in minor repairs and general maintenance tasks
* Strong reliability, flexibility, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining high standards
