The Role

  • Position: Early Years Practitioner
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Islington, North London
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 4:00pm
  • Pay: £16.42 - £17.05 per hour (PAYE)
  • Contract: Full-time (5 days per week)
  • Setting: Early Years provision within a primary school

About the School

We are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive Children's Centre based within a primary school in Islington. The setting is known for its supportive team, welcoming atmosphere, and strong focus on child-centred learning.

Staff are encouraged to bring creativity, energy and care into their practice, ensuring every child feels safe, supported and inspired to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Support children's social, emotional and developmental progress
  • Create a stimulating and safe learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of practice
  • Observe, assess and record children's development
  • Encourage positive behaviour and independence
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and staff

The Ideal Candidate

  • CACHE Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Experience in a nursery, children's centre or school setting
  • A nurturing, patient and proactive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
