English Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Slough

Pay: £95-£105 per day (depending on experience)

A well-regarded secondary school in Slough is seeking an English Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This full-time role is ideal for graduates looking to gain school-based experience ahead of a career in education.

The school has a strong focus on literacy, academic achievement and structured classroom practice, with a supportive English department and clear expectations for staff and students. As an English Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learning, particularly in reading, writing and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support students in English lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group literacy interventions
* Assist with lesson preparation and classroom routines
* Provide feedback on written work and support exam preparation
* Promote high standards of engagement and academic progress

The Ideal Candidate:
* A degree in English or a closely related subject is essential
* A strong academic background
* A clear interest in teaching or education
* Confident supporting reading, writing and essay skills
