A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Daventry is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join their performing arts department from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented educator to deliver engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities at Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.

The school is ideally seeking a permanent appointment; however, strong applicants looking for fixed-term or long-term supply opportunities will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach a broad and creative curriculum including performance, composition and listening skills
  • Prepare students for GCSE Music assessments and performances
  • Encourage participation in choirs, ensembles, concerts and extra-curricular music activities
  • Integrate music technology and digital resources into classroom learning
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can succeed
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing meaningful feedback and support
  • Contribute to school performances, productions and wider enrichment opportunities

Who We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A degree in Music or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge across practical and theoretical music
  • Confidence using music technology such as Sibelius, Logic Pro, GarageBand or similar software
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for inspiring creativity, confidence and musical expression in young people
