Year 3 Teacher (Fixed Term) - Sheffield

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Sheffield on a fixed-term contract until the end of July. This is an excellent opportunity for a student teacher or early career teacher who is looking to complete their first teaching role in a supportive environment.

The school is well-staffed, stable, and prides itself on a strong team ethos, where staff work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.

You will be responsible for teaching an engaging Year 3 class, delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and leadership who are committed to developing new and emerging teachers.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to gain QTS this academic year (recently completed PGCE or BA in Education)
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly Key Stage 2
  • Confident classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Enthusiastic and passionate about primary education
  • Confident in managing classroom behaviour effectively and calmly
  • Willing to learn and develop with support from experienced staff
  • Highly professional and dependable in their approach
  • Keen to contribute positively to a supportive school community
