Inclusion and Intervention Officer - Secondary School

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Northampton is seeking to appoint a committed and proactive Inclusion and Intervention Officer to join their pastoral and student support team as soon as possible. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who is driven to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people who require additional guidance, intervention, and support within education.

Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering targeted interventions for students experiencing behavioural, emotional, or social challenges
- Supporting pupils at risk of disengagement, poor attendance, or exclusion
- Working closely with pastoral leaders, SENDCos, safeguarding staff, and external agencies
- Building positive and consistent relationships with students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Monitoring student progress, wellbeing, and engagement with learning
- Promoting positive behaviour strategies and supporting restorative approaches within school
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with young people in schools, youth work, mentoring, care, or similar settings
- Can confidently support students with SEMH needs, ASD, ADHD, or behavioural challenges
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Is calm, resilient, empathetic, and able to remain professional under pressure
- Is passionate about inclusion, student wellbeing, and educational outcomes
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one)
