Sports Coach - SEN Provision (PRU)

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH provision within a respected Sheffield-based trust of schools for an experienced and resilient Sports Coach to work on a supply basis.

This role involves supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs within a Pupil Referral Unit setting, using sport and positive relationship-building to encourage engagement, confidence and personal development. The role will also include general Teaching Assistant responsibilities, supporting students both in and out of the classroom.

The provision takes a highly nurturing and relational approach, placing a strong emphasis on inclusion, emotional wellbeing and preparing young people for future education, employment and independent life.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience working with young people in education, coaching or mentoring settings
• Be confident managing challenging behaviour
• Build strong professional relationships with students and staff
• Demonstrate resilience, consistency and a calm approach
• Be passionate about supporting vulnerable young people
