Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support one of our specialist partner schools in Northampton. This welcoming and supportive setting caters for students with a range of additional needs, including high-functioning autism, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.

We are primarily looking for candidates seeking long-term placements with the opportunity to progress into permanent roles, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to establish a rewarding career within Special Educational Needs education. In addition, there will be occasional day-to-day and short-term cover opportunities available for those seeking greater flexibility.

The Role:

• Providing classroom support to students with additional learning and physical needs.
• Working closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Assisting with personal care where required and helping to ensure students feel safe, supported, and valued throughout the school day.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children, young people, or adults with additional needs is desirable.
• A caring, patient, and resilient nature.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
