Teacher of Science - Northampton

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and progressive secondary school in Northampton to recruit a committed Teacher of Science for a September 2026 start. This position is ideally permanent, although long-term supply options are available for candidates seeking greater flexibility.

About the Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 opportunities in some settings)
- Inspire students through practical investigations and scientific enquiry
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles
- Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and tracking pupil progress
- Promote a passion for Science and its real-world applications
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within a supportive and well-resourced Science department
- Get involved in enrichment activities such as STEM projects, science clubs, and educational visits
We're Looking For:
- Qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) in Science
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
- An engaging and reflective practitioner who motivates and challenges students
- High expectations for behaviour, achievement, and student progress
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- ECTs are encouraged to apply, with full support and mentoring available
