Science Teacher - Northampton

Are you a dedicated Science Teacher who enjoys inspiring students and helping them make sense of the world through investigation, experimentation, and discovery?

We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Northampton that is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher from September 2026. This is a full-time position available on either a permanent or fixed-term basis, depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the school.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative Science department where high expectations, teamwork, and student progress are central to daily practice.

About the Role

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 available in some settings

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that develop scientific knowledge and curiosity

  • Use practical work and experiments to bring Science to life and deepen understanding

  • Assess and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and ongoing development within the Science department

  • Support enrichment opportunities such as STEM activities, science clubs, and educational visits

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and improve outcomes

We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

  • Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science education

  • Ability to engage, challenge, and support students of all abilities

  • Confident classroom management skills and a calm, consistent approach

  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude towards school life

  • ECTs are very welcome to apply and will receive full induction and mentoring support
