Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Bexley, seeking a talented and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term position for the entire 2026/27 academic year, offering an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher to make a lasting impact within a supportive school community. The role will be paid on the Outer London Teachers' Pay Scale, with candidates receiving full pay to scale from their first day through Tradewind Recruitment.

The Role

As the successful Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Creating a positive, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on pupil progress and attainment
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
  • Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to maximise pupil achievement
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Participating fully in staff meetings, training sessions, parents' evenings and wider school activities
  • Contributing to the continued development of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Maintaining high expectations for achievement, behaviour and attendance

The Ideal Primary Teacher

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be committed to raising standards and improving outcomes for all pupils
