Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with this Client, a highly ambitious and successful all-through academy in Newham, to appoint an outstanding Science Key Stage Lead Teacher on a permanent, full-time basis from September.

As Science Key Stage Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in driving standards across your designated key stage, supporting curriculum development, leading on teaching and learning initiatives, mentoring colleagues and ensuring excellent outcomes for students. You will work closely with senior and middle leaders to further enhance the provision within a thriving Science department.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and developing Science provision across a designated key stage.
Delivering engaging and challenging Science lessons to students of varying abilities.
Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to maximise achievement.
Supporting curriculum planning and development.
Coaching, mentoring and supporting colleagues within the department.
Contributing to whole-school improvement initiatives.
Promoting high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement.

The successful candidate will possess:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
A recognised degree in a Science-related subject.
Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level.
Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.
Experience of raising attainment and improving student outcomes.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to inspire, motivate and lead colleagues and students.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Salary: London MPS/UPS

M1 - M6 Salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6, UPS requires formal application. TLR payments made for agreed, sustained additional duties outside of regular teaching.
